Louis-Philippe Van Eeckhoutte provides art advisory and curatorial consulting services for private clients, public institutions, and art fairs, bringing a market-aware perspective grounded in art-historical knowledge and long-term collection strategy.
He advised the City of Roeselare on integrating contemporary art and local heritage within its renovated city hall, and serves as a curatorial consultant to Art Brussels’ ’68 Forward section (formerly Rediscovery), which foregrounds both established artists and practices that have been historically underrecognized.
In parallel, he works with collectors at different stages to refine their tastes, define collecting goals, and develop focused collections that reflect their interests over time. His guidance may include curated visits to galleries, fairs, and museums, as well as discreet assistance with acquisitions, from identifying suitable works to arranging viewings and supporting purchase discussions. He can also advise on deaccessioning by helping establish fair market value, outlining potential sale routes, and supporting negotiations.
