Louis-Philippe Van Eeckhoutte is a curator, cultural advisor and critic based in Belgium. His practice encompasses institutional advisory work, exhibition-making, writing and research, with a particular interest in the changing reception and reassessment of artistic practices.

In 2018, he was Artistic Director of the Brussels Gallery Weekend and curated the inaugural edition of Generation Brussels. Previously, he was director at dépendance, following earlier professional experience in New York.

Since 2019, he has been a curatorial advisor to Art Brussels, working on the section now known as ’68 Forward (formerly Rediscovery), a platform dedicated to showcasing both established artists and those who have remained underrecognized. Focusing on artistic practices from 1968 to 2000, the section seeks to broaden the historical perspective on this period and encourage renewed attention to overlooked artists.

His institutional advisory work includes serving on the acquisition committee for The Constant Glitch at M Leuven. Since 2019, he has also served as an expert evaluator of arts funding applications for the Flemish Government under the Kunstendecreet framework. He has advised the City of Roeselare on the integration of art and heritage within its renovated city hall.

His writing includes exhibition texts, artist interviews and contributions to publications and monographs on artists such as Mathew Cerletty and Kristof Santy. In 2018, he founded Drawing Room Play, an online interview series devoted to conversations with artists about their practices and ideas.

He has given lectures at KU Leuven, the University of Oregon, and the Misk Art Institute. He is currently an Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London, where he teaches within the School of Architecture, exploring the intersections between art, performance, scenography and spatial practice.
